About Us

Molly ’n' Friends was conceived by a group of women who have been friends for almost 25 years – the “Caribou Women” who, saddened by the loss of a dear friend, Molly Williams, were inspired to make a difference.

As our group shared fond memories, we made a discovery: Many years ago, we exchanged cards listing qualities we admired in each other. These cards became precious to us; over the years, we reread them when we needed the strength that comes from knowing we are valued.

The Molly Doll is our effort to share this gift of friendship, especially in challenging times. Friendship heals….Show your love and support for a friend and we’ll “pay it forward.”

Use the cards to write your friend’s name, then list all the good things you can think of about your friend —

The wonderful things they bring to the world: physical characteristics, personality traits, goofy habits that make people laugh, admirable qualities, talents that bring joy to others, wisdom that helps others; a special gift they bring to the world and the people they know.

Be specific and keep comments to single words or one-liners. Pass the remaining cards along to others who know your friend and ask them to do the same. Collect the cards and put them back into this satchel. The sentiments expressed will bring comfort and encouragement and let your friend know they are loved! They will enjoy the Doll and, as these cards are read and reread, Molly ’n' Friends becomes a gift that will keep on giving.

Other possible uses for the cards: A “coupon” for lunch together, a massage, a shuttle to treatments, a wig buying trip, a movie, dinner out, a picnic, a great book, remembering a great or funny time together, etc.
